Italian bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni has earned worldwide acclaim for his vocal versatility, dramatic instinct, and commanding stage presence. Since his debut at the Salzburg Festival with the Vienna Philharmonic under Nikolaus Harnoncourt, he has become a fixture at major houses including The Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Wiener Staatsoper, Opéra national de Paris, Bayerische Staatsoper, and San Francisco Opera. Celebrated for his wide-ranging repertoire, Pisaroni’s signature roles include Figaro, Leporello, Guglielmo, Méphistophélès, Don Giovanni, Enrico VIII, and Golaud, as well as leading parts in contemporary premieres such as Don Rodrigue in Le Soulier de satin and Lorenzo Da Ponte in The Phoenix. He has also appeared at the Rossini Opera Festival, Houston Grand Opera, Teatro Real, and Glyndebourne Festival. On the concert stage, he has sung with the Berlin Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, and Gewandhausorchester, collaborating with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Michael Tilson-Thomas, Andris Nelsons, Sir Simon Rattle, and Gustavo Dudamel.
