Formed in 2001 for The Art of the Violin exhibition at Castel Sant’Angelo, the Stradivari Sextet is composed of principal musicians from the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia. The ensemble has since become a distinguished presence on the international chamber music scene. They have performed for leading Italian institutions including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Chigiana Academy, Ravello Festival, and Sounds of the Dolomites, as well as in renowned venues across Europe, Latin America, and China. Notable engagements include Teatro El Circulo in Rosario, Teatro Solis in Montevideo, the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, and a 19-concert tour across Germany with Kammer Musik Circle.
Champions of contemporary music, they have premiered works by Alessandra Bellino, Fabio Massimo Capogrosso, and Riccardo Panfili. Their recordings of works by Tchaikovsky, Schönberg, and Brahms have received international praise, with their Tchaikovsky/Schönberg album shortlisted for the Grammy Awards. The ensemble regularly gives masterclasses and serves as Artist in Residence at
Villa Pennisi in Musica in Sicily.
